Hello and welcome,

If we haven’t crossed paths yet, my name is Janna. Creating spaces where women can step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with themselves in a deeper, more honest way has become some of the most meaningful work of my life.

There are certain seasons in life where you can feel that something is no longer working in the way it once did, even when everything on the outside appears relatively fine. Life continues moving. Responsibilities are being handled, work gets done, people depend on you and most days are spent moving from one thing to the next without much space to pause and truly check in with yourself. And still, beneath the structure of daily life, many women begin sensing a growing disconnect from their own direction, vitality, desires and deeper sense of meaning.

I’ve seen many women arrive at retreat during exactly this kind of chapter in their lives.

There is often an awareness that the way they’ve been living, moving and relating to themselves no longer feels fully aligned with the direction their life is asking them to grow into. After a certain point, more information doesn’t necessarily bring more clarity. More podcasts, books, conversations and endless processing can easily become additional noise around something your body already understands. What many women are truly longing for is space. The kind of space where you remember what matters beneath the expectations, responsibilities, mental noise and endless movement that often pull us away from ourselves over time.

This is the deeper intention behind Spirit of Bali.

While Bali itself is breathtakingly beautiful, this retreat was never created simply as a holiday or an opportunity to temporarily step away from life. It was created as a space for reconnection, clarity and meaningful inner movement and seasons of change.

Over the years, Bali became a place that held me through many important transitions. It’s where I discovered breathwork, where I found a new sense of direction and purpose, where I met my partner and where I became pregnant with my daughter.

A space to step away from the noise long enough to reconnect with yourself honestly again.
For women standing at a threshold in their lives.
A space for clarity, self-trust and meaningful change.

If these words words resonate, I invite you to continue reading through the retreat details below.

With love,
Janna

Who is this retreat for?

Spirit of Bali was created for women who are standing at a threshold.

Women who carry a lot. Women who move, create, hold families, businesses, responsibilities and often spend so much time functioning that they lose connection to themselves in the process.

On the outside, life may look beautiful and full. Yet internally something feels disconnected. The spark feels dimmer. Decisions feel heavier. There is a sense that your body and energy are asking for a different pace, a different relationship to life.

This retreat is for women who are no longer interested in surface-level wellness. Women who crave depth and spaces that feel real.

This retreat is for you when…

  • You’re in a season of transition or inner recalibration

  • You feel disconnected from your own direction

  • You’ve been functioning for a long time without truly checking in with yourself

  • Life looks full externally but something internally feels missing

  • You know something needs to change even if you can’t fully articulate it yet

  • You’re craving real space away from noise and pressure

  • You want clarity, not escape

  • You’re ready to take radical responsibility for your life instead of waiting to be “saved” or feeling sorry for yourself

  • You’re craving meaningful connection with other grounded and self-aware women

You do not need to arrive endlessly positive or experienced. The only thing that matters is your willingness to be honest with yourself.

Who this retreat is not for?

This retreat is likely not for you if you are looking for someone to fix you, rescue you or tell you who to become.

This is not a space built around bypassing, constantly chasing the next breakthrough experience, or escaping your life.

You probably won’t resonate with this retreat if:

  • You are looking for luxury escapism disconnected from real inner work

  • You simply want a beautiful vacation, nothing too deep or confrontational.

  • You avoid personal responsibility and expect transformation without honest self-confrontation

  • You are unwilling to sit with discomfort, truth or change

  • You are searching for constant stimulation, entertainment or external validation

The work we do here is subtle, embodied and human. It asks for honesty and a willingness to meet yourself beyond the noise.

Spirit of Bali Retreat | October 10th - 16th, 2026 | Balian, West Bali

  • Daily Yoga

Each morning begins with grounding yoga practices to gently awaken the body and cultivate presence. These sessions are nourishing rather than demanding, supporting mobility, breath and awareness. Meeting your body where it is and allowing movement to become a form of listening.

  • Conscious Breath Ceremony with Janna

Breathwork is a central pillar of the retreat. Through guided conscious breathwork, you’ll be invited into deeper connection with yourself - physically, emotionally, and energetically. These sessions offer space to process stored tension, access inner clarity and reconnect with your innate sense of trust and intuition. Each journey is held with care, safety and integration in mind.

  • Fire & Ice Journey with Nico

One of the deeper experiential offerings of the retreat is the Fire & Ice Journey, a 90-minute session weaving breathwork, sauna, and ice bath. This experience supports resilience, mental clarity and embodied presence. Moving consciously between heat and cold becomes a powerful practice in meeting intensity with breath, awareness and choice.

  • Traditional Balinese Water Purification Ceremony (Melukat)

You’ll take part in a traditional Melukat ceremony. A sacred water purification ritual guided by a local priestess at a holy water temple. This ancient practice is a profound experience of cleansing, blessing, and renewal, offering a moment to release what no longer serves and receive the prayers of the land and its people.

  • Creative & Cultural Experiences

The retreat also invites you into the everyday magic of Balinese life. A Balinese cooking class, offering connection to local flavours, traditions, and communal nourishment. A day excursion to a sacred site held close to my heart, shared privately with participants, allowing for a deeper, more intimate experience of the island.

  • Elemental Rituals

Fire, water, earth, and air are woven throughout the retreat. A Fire Ceremony near the end of our time together offers space for reflection, release, and intention. Honouring what has shifted and what you wish to carry forward. These ceremonial moments are simple, grounded and intentional.

  • Rest, Nature & Integration

Equally important is what is not scheduled. You’ll have ample time to rest, swim, float in the pool, enjoy the sauna and ice bath, paddle on the lake, receive spa treatments, or simply sit in stillness.

  • Preparation & Integration

To support a grounded and respectful experience, the retreat includes a pre-retreat call, where cultural guidance, intentions, and practical information are shared. A post-retreat integration call offers space to reflect, integrate insights, and bridge the experience back into everyday life.

A deeply intentional retreat for women who can feel that something in their life is ready to change.
— Janna

The Essence of the Journey

Spirit of Bali was created for women who feel the need to step away from the constant noise, pressure, stimulation and pace of everyday life long enough to reconnect with themselves in a deeper and more honest way.

So many of us spend our lives moving quickly, constantly responding, producing, caring for others, making decisions, consuming information and adapting to the demands around us that we slowly lose touch with our own inner voice in the process. After a while, it becomes difficult to hear what we truly feel, what we genuinely want and what our own inner guidance has been trying to communicate beneath all the distractions.

One of the central intentions of this retreat is to create enough space for you to hear yourself again.

There’s voices, opinions, expectations and projections constantly surrounding you. We are slowly peeling this away so your own truth, your own rhythm and your own clarity is noticeable again. The inner knowing that often gets buried underneath the speed and intensity of modern life.

Throughout the week, you will be invited into a more intentional way of living. From the way we begin our mornings to the way we eat, move, rest, breathe, and gather together, there is an emphasis on presence, simplicity, and returning to what actually matters. The retreat combines breathwork, ceremony, nature, elemental rituals, rest, nourishing food and shared experiences in a way that supports emotional processing, reflection, reconnection, and inner movement without pressure.

There is no expectation for you to leave as a “better version” of yourself or to force transformation. Most women discover that the deepest shifts happen naturally once they finally stop overriding themselves and allow enough space to truly listen inward again.

This is also a deeply communal experience. There is something profoundly nourishing about being surrounded by women moving through similar thresholds in life, women who are asking deeper questions, longing for more honesty, more meaning, more vitality and more connection to themselves.

Many women arrive at our Retreats feeling disconnected from their own sense of direction and leave with a renewed feeling of clarity, steadiness, trust, inspiration and aliveness within themselves.

Part of the experience is stepping away from the constant input, stimulation, and digital noise that often keeps us disconnected from ourselves. We strongly encourage all participants to step away from work, limit phone usage, and fully immerse themselves in the experience.

Location: Balian, West Bali

Nestled in the quiet coastal village of Balian, on the least developed side of the island, this retreat centre is held by a sense of timelessness and calm. Often referred to as the “West Bali experience,” the area is known for its exuberant nature, expansive sunsets, powerful ocean energy and a way of life that feels reminiscent of Ubud many years ago - slower, simpler and deeply rooted. Balian carries an innocent, unspoiled charm. It is a place where presence comes naturally, where connection to the land, to the people, and to oneself feels effortless. Time seems to slow down here, inviting rest, reflection, and genuine being.

The retreat centre itself was born from a long-standing relationship with this land. Over the years, it became a sanctuary - a place to retreat from the busier parts of Bali, to surf, practice yoga, meditate, recharge, and reconnect. With time, deep bonds were formed with the local community, and a vision emerged: to create a space that honors the spirit of Balian rather than disrupts it. Designed with humility and care, the centre blends into its surroundings. It is not intrusive, but quietly present. A haven for travelers, seekers and those longing to experience Bali in a more grounded, authentic way. The values of community integration, respect for the ecosystem and simplicity are woven into every aspect of the space.

Breathwork Teacher · Trauma-informed Facilitator

For years I searched for answers through movement, travel and external experiences. I lived nomadically for five years, explored different somatic modalities and spent a long time trying to understand what truly creates transformation in a human being.

What fascinated me most was never performance or spirituality as an identity. It was the deeper connection between the body, emotions, fascia, mind and the way our lived experiences shape who we become.

Today, my work blends breathwork, somatic awareness and grounded leadership. I create spaces that are both deeply human and deeply honest.

I am not interested in fixing or saving people. My work is about helping people reconnect with themselves clearly enough that they can move through life with more truth, vitality and self-trust.

Alongside my work, I’m also a mother - a role that has profoundly reshaped the way I relate to responsibility and what truly matters in life.

The spaces I create are for people who are ready to cut through the noise and come back into real contact with themselves.

Wim Hof Method Instructor | Breath Science Expert

Nicolas is both a student and teacher of the science of breath. Certified as a Pranayama Teacher and Wim How Method Instructor, he brings a rare blend of intellectual curiosity and lived experience. With a lifelong fascination for the mysteries of existence, Nicolas has spent years immersed in the study of yogic philosophy, metaphysics, biochemistry, and the physiological power of breath.

Based in Sweden, Nicolas worked for years in a high-pressure work environment with long hours, constant performance demands, and very little room to breathe. In the midst of this, he began searching for a way to restore his energy, sharpen his focus, and reconnect to vitality.

That search led him to the Wim Hof Method and ancient Breathwork practices. Through consistent breathwork, cold exposure, and study of the body’s biochemistry, he experienced a big shift - more clarity, resilience, and energy than ever before. What began as a personal practice quickly turned into a calling.

Over the past 5 years, Nicolas has guided and taught hundreds of people through breathwork journeys. His teaching is both grounded and accessible, combining science, personal insight, and respect for the body’s intelligence. He has a unique gift for translating complex physiology into simple, inspiring concepts, empowering people to understand and trust their own inner systems.
